Tullamore Gospel Choir

 CALLING ALL MEN - THE GOSPEL CHOIR NEEDS YOU!

After our summer break, rehearsals have once again resumed for members of Tullamore Gospel Choir in the Day Chapel of the Church of the Assumption at 8pm every Wednesday night, and Choir Director, Brendan Keeley, has issued an appeal for more male members to join the 100 strong Choir.

With a very exciting programme of events planned over the coming months – including a tentative date to perform at a the opening of The Sligo International Choral Festival on November 13th, membership of Tullamore Gospel Choir is a very exciting and rewarding experience for anyone with an interest in music, fun, faith and friendship.  Every potential member of Tullamore Gospel Choir must be auditioned, so if can hold a musical note and are not daunted by the prospect of an audition, come along to the Day Chapel in the Church of the Assumption any Wednesday night at 8pm.

The female members of Tullamore Gospel Choir have always outnumbered their male colleagues by around 10 to one, so in order to introduce some gender balance into the Choir, and also to enhance the quality of the overall musical sound of the Choir, Director Brendan Keeley is very anxious to recuit more male members.  There is no age limit to membership of the Choir – the only requirement is that you can actually sing! So, if you think you are the right person, come along to our rehearsals and bring a friend.
